Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 8, 2026
Apricot is built around mindful digital habits — not surveillance. This policy explains what we collect, what we don't, and how you stay in control.
We only see which apps you use and how long you use them. We do not see your messages, passwords, browsing history, or what you view inside apps.
1. Who we are
Apricot ("we", "us", or "our") is a digital wellbeing app published by Miancorp. On Android the same app is published as Fortify, and this policy covers both. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at vahagn.mian@gmail.com or visit our support page.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Apricot, we may collect:
- Account information — such as your email address when you sign in (including via email, Google, Sign in with Apple, or Telegram).
- Telegram account (optional) — if you sign in with or link Telegram, we store your Telegram username and your account status (for example active, trial days left, and paid-until date) on your Apricot account. We never receive your Telegram messages, contacts, or chats.
- App usage data — which apps you use and how long you use them, to power tracking, insights, and goals.
- Focus & shield data — apps you choose to block, shield session times, streaks, and related wellbeing activity.
- Reflections & missions — mood check-ins, daily missions, XP, and progress you choose to record in the app.
- Settings & preferences — notification choices, goals, theme, and other in-app settings.
- Device information — basic technical data needed to run the app (such as OS version and app version).
3. Information we do not collect
Apricot is not designed to access the content inside your apps. We do not collect:
- Messages, emails, or chat content
- Passwords or credentials
- Web pages you visit or media you view
- Keystrokes, screenshots, or screen recordings
- Contacts, photos, or files from your device
4. How we use your information
We use collected information to:
- Provide core app features (tracking, focus shields, streaks, missions, and insights)
- Sync your progress across devices when you are signed in
- Send notifications you have opted into
- Improve app reliability, security, and user experience
- Respond to support requests
5. Local storage & cloud sync
When you are not signed in, your data stays on your device. When you sign in, selected data may be stored in the cloud (via Firebase) so it can sync across your devices. You can control some data collection preferences in the app's Privacy settings.
If you take part in the leaderboard, your username (display name) and league score (XP) are visible to other users in your league.
6. Screen Time & device permissions
On iOS, Apricot uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to help you block distracting apps during focus sessions. On Android, similar functionality uses system usage access. These permissions are used only to support focus and tracking features you enable — not to read app content.
6a. Network blocking during focus sessions (iOS)
On iOS, Apricot can add an on-device VPN that runs only while a Shield focus session is active. It checks the names of sites and services against your block list on your iPhone and blocks matching social-media sites (such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Snapchat). Your traffic is not routed to any server, and no browsing data — such as the sites you visit — is collected, stored, or sent off your device. iOS asks for your permission before the VPN is added, and you can remove it at any time in Settings.
7. Third-party services
Apricot uses trusted third-party services to operate, including:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, cloud database, remote configuration, and related backend services. On Android, the app also uses Firebase Analytics to collect usage statistics. On iOS, Firebase Analytics is disabled
- Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Google
- Sign in with Apple — if you choose to sign in with Apple
- Telegram (via our bot @ApricotAppBot) — if you choose to sign in with or link Telegram, to confirm your Telegram account
- App stores — Google Play and Apple App Store for distribution and in-app purchases
These providers process data according to their own privacy policies. We only share what is necessary to provide Apricot's features.
8. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account and its associated cloud data at any time in the app (Profile → Delete Account), or by contacting us.
9. Your choices & rights
You can:
- Adjust privacy and notification settings inside the app
- Revoke Screen Time or usage access permissions in your device settings
- Sign out or delete your account
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your data
10. Children's privacy
Apricot is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard data using industry-standard practices.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Apricot after changes means you accept the updated policy.
